Oil products were found near several coastal villages in the Sakhalin region. This was announced on June 30 in the administration of the Tomarinsky Municipal District of the Sakhalin region.

"It has been established that the main mass of a lumpy substance, superficially similar to ship fuel oil, was thrown out in the area of the villages of Belinskoye and Parashnoye. Administration staff have selected samples of the substance for transfer to the Rosprirodnadzor laboratory," TASS reports.

The administration also indicated that experts had collected samples of petroleum products and sent them to Rosprirodnadzor, where they would be analyzed. It is reported that in the coming days it is planned to eliminate all remaining petroleum products. No oil stains were found.

On June 21, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced that an oil slick had been discovered in the Azerbaijani waters of the Caspian Sea. Initially, it was not possible to identify the source of the leak, but later diagnostics showed that the spill occurred on one of the underwater oil pipelines owned by Azneft.
