Dagestan fined driver for extremist pit bull sticker

The Derbent court fined a car driver a thousand rubles for a sticker with an image of a pit bull belonging to a banned extremist group. This was reported on June 30 in the press service of the Derbent City Court.

"The Derbent City Court has considered a case that may force many drivers to review the contents of their cars. We are not talking about prohibited items in the cabin, but about a sticker on the body," the statement said.

It is noted that during the patrol, police officers noticed a sticker with the image of a pit bull, which was placed on the trunk of the car. It is clarified that these symbols belong to an organization that was recognized as extremist back in 2010.

The driver explained that he did not know about the origin of the sticker and acquired it by accident. He admitted his guilt and undertook to eliminate the violation.

The agency explained that a car in a public place is a public space, so placing prohibited symbols on it is considered an administrative violation.
