200 km of roads and 41 bridges were put in order in Buryatia during the year.

In Buryatia, about 200 km of highways and 41 bridges were repaired over the past 2025. The quality of travel has improved for at least half a million people, the head of the republic, Alexei Tsydenov, said in an annual report on the work of the government.

67 km of roadway and six bridges were put in order on federal highways, 87 km and 29 bridges on regional roads. Nine overpasses will be built in the next five years: seven in Ulan-Ude and two in Zaigraevsky district.

The railway industry has updated the trans-shipment tracks at Taksimo station, reconstructed Severobaikalsk station, completed the laying of the Baikal Tunnel and erected a pedestrian bridge at Onokhoy station. The builders also performed inserts on the BAM-2 stages.

263 buses were purchased for public transport. Cars are already cruising the streets of Ulan-Ude, Severobaikalsk and 11 other districts of the region. There are plans to purchase another 121 buses, the authorities have already submitted an application.

As noted by IA UlanMedia, Baikal airport also has success. It served a record 840,000 people, thus taking the fourth place in Russia in terms of passenger traffic growth.

Earlier it was reported that in Buryatia in 2026 they plan to repair sections of roads leading to Lakes Baikal and Gusinoe. We are talking about the Treskovo–Shergino–Oymur–Zarechye highway and the Gusinoozersk–Petropavlovsk–Zakamensk– border with Mongolia road.
