Yalta authorities asked businesses to save electricity

The Yalta authorities have asked retail chains to reduce electricity consumption. This is necessary to reduce the load on centralized power supply networks and the constantly changing operational environment, said Mayor Yanina Pavlenko.

"We are asking businesses to turn off their outdoor signage and air conditioners (within reasonable limits), and hotels to dim their front lights and also see how they can save power," the mayor said.

She assured that despite the difficulties, the city services are operating normally. Utilities are provided with fuel in full, and garbage collection is carried out on schedule.

According to Pavlenko, public transport operates on the lines. Routes are adjusted manually, and where there is increased demand, additional flights are added.

Earlier it was reported that power outages lasting from two to five hours are possible on the territory of Crimea in the coming days. Inconveniences are associated with the implementation of planned technical measures at the peninsula's energy infrastructure facilities.
