A special fire protection regime is being introduced in the Stavropol Territory from July 1 to July 20. The corresponding order was issued by the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. The document is published on the legal information portal.

For the duration of the regime, vehicles are prohibited from entering the forest, making bonfires, using barbecues and braziers, burning garbage and felling residues. Mass events, tourist parking lots and clogging with forest waste are also prohibited.

The restrictions do not apply to employees of forestry and forestry enterprises, operational services, fire departments, ambulances, police, persons who have hunting permits or legally use forest areas.

In addition, through travel on public roads, visits to recreation centers, children's camps, sanatoriums, camp sites and ecotropics, as well as collecting wild fruits, berries and mushrooms for their own needs fall under the exceptions.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, warning signs will be installed in the forests, roads will be blocked and entry control points will be set up. Forestry departments and forestry enterprises have been instructed to strengthen fire monitoring and awareness-raising by local residents.

Earlier it was reported that swimming and recreation in 17 reservoirs were officially allowed in Stavropol. They passed the necessary water quality checks and the condition of the beaches.
