In the Orthodox tradition, there is a prayer text approved by the Holy Synod to Peter and Fevronia, which is used in liturgical practice. "The prayer is read at the end of the Divine Liturgy on the days of commemoration of the holy spouses. In addition, the Holy Synod approved the troparion and kontakion to the saints, which are performed during divine services dedicated to Peter and Fevronia," said the priest.

He noted that the text of the prayer, intended for those already married, contains requests for strengthening marriage and well-being in family life. A special edition of the prayer is provided for those who are preparing to marry. It asks God to bless those who marry, to grant them chastity, fidelity and spiritual harmony.

"The full texts of the addresses to the saints can be found in Orthodox sources, including on the Abc of Faith website," Zhilyakov said.

Speaking about the situations in which saints are addressed, he stressed that the Murom miracle workers are primarily perceived by believers as helpers in matters of family and marriage.

"They apply when there are problems in the relationship between spouses, in finding a husband or wife, for help in creating and maintaining a family, because during their lifetime they set an example of a strong and pious marriage," the priest noted.

He also added that one can pray to the wonderworkers of Murom at any time, and not only on days of church commemoration. According to him, if it is not possible to visit the temple, then you can read a prayer near the icon or just mentally address the saints in your own words.
