- An aboveground pedestrian crossing over MCD-4 will be built in Ochakovo-Matveevsky.
An aboveground pedestrian crossing will be built in Moscow over the tracks of the MCD-4 in Ochakov-Matveevsky, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in his channel in Maks. The work will be completed in 2027.
The new crossing will connect Ryabinovaya Street with the Planned passage No. 1980. This will increase the comfort level for residents of the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area, the mayor emphasized. "The crossing will become an important element of the pedestrian infrastructure of the area," Sobyanin wrote.
The construction will allow for a direct and safe passage for employees of enterprises located nearby, the head of the capital noted. The crossing will also shorten the way to the Ozernaya station on the Solntsevskaya metro line.
There are two stairwells and two elevators in the passage. The three-dimensional composition will consist of a gallery glazed on both sides on Y-shaped supporting pillars.
In the spring, the Moscow government approved new projects for the integrated development of territories, including a site in the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area. A residential area with a 500-seat school and a kindergarten for 250 people will be built here on an area of 4.26 hectares.
