In the Sakhalin region, two people were injured as a result of online fraud. The total damage exceeded 800 thousand rubles.

A 25-year-old man was injured in the Okhinsky district. He said that the fraudster introduced himself as a law enforcement officer during a phone call. He convinced the victim that someone had hacked the Sakhalin resident's personal account on the Gosuslugi portal to issue a power of attorney. Under the pretext of saving his savings, the man transferred 210 thousand rubles to an outside account. SakhalinMedia news agency writes about this.

A 46-year-old woman was injured in Yuzhno-Kurilsk. The scammers lured the victim out of more than 590 thousand rubles under the pretext of making money from currency exchange rate changes.

A criminal case has been opened on each fact.

In Magadan, fraudsters deceived a businesswoman by offering to purchase sugar at a wholesale price. The woman lost 430 thousand rubles.
