The North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) and Ukraine intend to develop weapons to massively hit Russian airfields and air bases. This was announced on June 29 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We are talking about the creation of weapons for the massive destruction and long-term decommissioning of Russian airfields and air bases, including in the depths of our country. NATO is gradually losing the remnants of rationality and is drifting into a high—risk zone, seeking to squeeze the most out of Ukraine as a testing ground," Zakharova said in a comment on the Foreign Ministry's website.

According to her, the ministry's attention was drawn to information about the launch of another tender for the development of advanced weapons systems based on the experience of military operations against Russia. The project is being promoted by the NATO Transformation Command with the participation of the Joint Center for Analysis, Training and Education (JATEC) with Ukraine.

Among the requirements for developers are the full autonomy of platforms, stability when blocking navigation signals, and the integration of artificial intelligence. The range of application of these systems is unlimited, and continuous human monitoring is not provided.
