Forest fires with an area of almost 4 thousand hectares were extinguished in a day in Yakutia

Over the past day, six forest fires have been eliminated in Yakutia. The total gorenje area exceeded 3.95 thousand hectares.

Fires were extinguished in Mirninsky, Khangalassky, Neryungrinsky districts, as well as in Yakutsk. On the morning of June 29, 12 forest fires with a total area of over 4.8 thousand hectares continued to operate in the republic. This is reported by IA YakutiaMedia.
351 people and 18 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing active fires.

A special fire protection regime is in effect in 14 municipalities. An emergency regime remains in place in Neryungrinsky and Lena districts.

In total, 165 forest fires have occurred in Yakutia since the beginning of the fire season. The total area covered by the fire was more than 17.5 thousand hectares.
