The symbolism of the daisy on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity reflects the ideas of purity, modesty and sincerity of family relations. This was reported by religious scholar Natalia Fominykh in a conversation with Izvestia.

"A wildflower is simple, unsophisticated, artless. It is this flower that embodies the purity, innocence, and sincerity of husband and wife's feelings towards each other. And at the same time, a wildflower is modesty. Thus, each other's feelings should not be flaunted. It is necessary to preserve the purity and sincerity of relationships within the family in relation to each other," she said.

Chamomile, as noted by the religious scholar, symbolizes "purity, innocence, open love." Therefore, on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, it is customary to give daisies or make wreaths from them, which has become a stable element of festive culture.

Religious scholar Fominykh also drew attention to the emergence of modern traditions, in particular, greeting cards — "fevronek". According to her, these may be souvenirs depicting wildflowers, birds, swans or Saints Peter and Fevronia, which complement the established forms of celebration and strengthen its symbolic significance.
