Afghanistan has claimed 36 dead and more than 160 injured due to Pakistan strikes.

At least 36 civilians were killed and 163 injured as a result of airstrikes by the Pakistani Armed Forces in the border regions of Afghanistan. This was announced on June 29 by the deputy official representative of the Afghan government, Hamdullah Fitrat.

"According to the data available at the moment, 36 civilians, including women and children, were killed and 163 people were injured as a result of the attacks carried out last night,— he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the report, villages in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika and Kunar were hit at night. The largest number of victims — 28 dead and 158 injured — was reported in the village of Mandohail in Paktia.

Moscow is also ready to become an intermediary if requested by both sides.

Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said earlier in the day that Pakistan's security forces had conducted a ground operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, during which 29 Kharijite militants of the Islamic State (IS, recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation, banned activities) had been eliminated.
