German Dyak, dentist-therapist, orthopedist at the Atribyut clinic, told on Monday, June 29, how stress destroys teeth.

According to the doctor, nervous overexertion can cause bruxism — involuntary clenching of the jaws or gnashing of teeth. This leads to the fact that the enamel of teeth is erased, microcracks, chips, sensitivity appear on them, and veneers, implants, crowns and fillings are overloaded.

He added that bruxism can cause the habit of clenching teeth during the day and bite marks on the inside of the cheeks. If a person has several such signs, it is better not to postpone a doctor's consultation, Dyaks emphasized.

The dentist added that a person may often not notice Bruxism.

"As a result, patients come with consequences — chips, sensitivity, pain or clicks in the joint, and only on examination it becomes clear that the problem is systemic, and not in one tooth," the dentist concluded in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

Earlier, dentist Alexey Antipenko said that teeth grinding can also negatively affect the health of the jaw joints, for example, lead to dislocations or dislocations. In addition, people with Bruxism often suffer from insomnia, writes Life.Ru .

Kirill Polyakov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, dental surgeon at Naudent Dentistry, reported on June 9 that some foods may be more dangerous to tooth enamel than regular sugar. He noted that dried fruits, including raisins, dates, dried apricots and prunes, are often perceived as a healthy alternative to sweets, but they pose a risk to teeth.
