Russians should use for savings accounts those cards that are not linked to marketplaces and delivery services, and also do not appear in online purchases. This was announced on June 29 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"For a savings account, it is advisable to use a card that is not involved in daily payments and online purchases. It is extremely risky to store a large amount on a card linked to delivery services and marketplaces," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

As additional recommendations, the ministry advised citizens to impose restrictions on online transactions or transfers, potentially carried out at night. As explained in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, you can do this directly in the mobile application, where you can also set a limit on cashouts and money transfers.

Among other things, the agency recalled that everyone has the right to establish a self-ban on obtaining loans. The procedure is executed through the Gosuslugi portal.

On June 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the introduction of an alarm button on Public Services. The new feature will allow a person who is faced with fraud to notify representatives of law enforcement agencies and banks about their situation. Having received the signal, the listed authorities, in cooperation with mobile operators, will take appropriate measures.
