Seven suspects in the murder of a student were detained in Omsk.

A group of seven young men who are suspected of murdering a student at a regional higher education institution has been detained in Omsk. This was announced on June 29 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"During the complex of operational search measures and working out versions, the operatives identified a group of seven people aged 22-24 who were part of the young man's social circle," she said in a message on the Maks messenger.

Information about the disappearance of the young man was received by law enforcement agencies on June 21. Then it was reported that the victim left the house and did not return. Five days later, his body with signs of violent death was found in an abandoned area near the Syropyatsky tract.

During the investigation, it turned out that the deceased was lured to this area by acquaintances. They, acting for selfish motives, tied him up and stabbed him several times. The criminals prepared for the murder of the young man in advance: they bought scotch tape, bags and gloves, and also took care of their alleged alibi. Now all the suspects have been placed in a pre-trial detention center, and the materials on the tragedy have been transferred to the investigative authorities.

The attackers extorted money from the student. According to Izvestia, Mikhail D., Kira L., Tigran G., and Sofya Ch. were among those detained. and Xu F.

In the Kemerovo region, Kuzbass, at the end of June, a 12—year-old girl, previously reported missing, was found dead with signs of violent death. Law enforcement officials managed to identify the person involved in this crime, who turned out to be a previously convicted 54-year-old local resident. A criminal case has now been opened against the criminal in accordance with Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
