Russian military thwarted an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to withdraw from Konstantinovka

Gunners of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division of the 3rd Army Corps of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed shelters with militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who were trying to gain a foothold on the outskirts of Konstantinovka. This was announced on June 29 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

During aerial reconnaissance, operators of unmanned systems detected two small groups of Ukrainian militants. According to the agency, the enemy, retreating under the onslaught of Russian units, hoped to secretly leave the city and take refuge in buildings on the outskirts of Konstantinovka.

The received coordinates were promptly transmitted to the artillery crews of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division of the Southern Group of Forces, which attacked the identified targets. The Ministry of Defense reported that as a result, shelters were destroyed along with the enemy's manpower in them.

The ministry noted that the interaction of operators of unmanned systems and artillery units makes it possible to identify enemy withdrawal routes in a timely manner, strike at places of its temporary concentration and prevent the formation of new lines of defense.

On June 28, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian Army soldiers liberated 26 buildings in Konstantinovka in a day. It is also reported that up to 100 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, a US-made MaxxPro armored car, 20 pickups, two ATVs, 31 ground-based robotic complexes and 21 UAV control points were destroyed.
