The liberation of the Priyut settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic by soldiers of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces will make it possible to completely cut off Konstantinovka from enemy supplies and take it under control. The press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the actions of the stormtroopers as part of the operation to liberate the Shelter on June 29.

"The squad leader planned the operation. The company commander set the task correctly for us. And they started working, moving to the concentration area," said Sergey Kiselyov, commander of the assault platoon.

When traveling, Russian servicemen used disguises, and also moved in small groups of 2-3 people or alone. They encountered various obstacles along the way, including mines, barbed wire, wicker fences and deep ditches.

The actions of the attack aircraft were coordinated around the clock using drones. It is noted that during a direct clash, Ukrainian soldiers preferred to retreat without a fight due to low morale.

"The liberation of the village was an important step in creating conditions for the further advancement of the Center group of forces in this direction," the Defense Ministry concluded.

Soldiers of the same regiment told Izvestia on June 24 that the liberation of the Shelter allowed the Russian Army to reach the rear of the enemy's key defensive line. According to senior gunner Alexei Ivanov with the call sign Kalmar, the most difficult stage of the operation was the very path to the village. According to him, the promotion took a lot of effort from both the staff and the leadership.
