Social policy is one of the key priorities of the Russian Federation and the United Russia Party. This was stated on June 28 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to Izvestia correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky.

"The United Russia Party has always seen social policy as its priority," Golikova said.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that social initiatives always mean large financial resources and a new organizational system. She added that thanks to the support of the party and its work "on the ground", it is possible to implement important social initiatives in the regions.

In addition, the new United Russia program will be partially based on the current one — a number of areas will maintain continuity within the framework of national projects.

Social pensions will be indexed in Russia: the amount and date of increase have been announced

The increase in social pensions from April will affect the disabled, children with disabilities and citizens without insurance experience.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the United Russia congress on the same day that social justice is a condition for national unity. He stressed that a person cannot be free if his people and country are not free.

On April 18, the State Duma proposed to increase the indexation of social pensions to at least 15% for all recipients. The initiative was sponsored by party leader Sergei Mironov and Yana Lantratova, who currently holds the post of Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation. According to Mironov, since April 1 of this year, social pensions have been increased by 6.8%, while payments depending on their size may increase by 14.8%.
