Sydney beaches will be monitored with drones due to shark attacks.

Sydney authorities will begin daily monitoring local beaches with drones from July 1 due to the increased frequency of shark attacks. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 27.

"Starting in July, daily drone surveillance will be conducted on Sydney beaches from dawn to dusk after a series of attacks off the coast of Australia," the material says.

The New South Wales state government will spend $83 million over the next two years on a shark reduction strategy, including $23 million on drone monitoring, which will cover 38 Sydney beaches.

The government said that at least two new artificial intelligence systems will be tested over the summer to improve shark detection.
