There is a special department in the special operation zone where specialists are engaged in setting up and re—commissioning damaged unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), both Russian and enemy, which have been found. On June 28, employees of the technical and operational unit of the 1465th Regiment of the Southern Group of Forces told Izvestia about this.

"In the FPV department, technicians are engaged in the restoration, repair and configuration of FPV drones, respectively. This is where drones are set up before being deployed. We are also restoring our own and enemy "foundlings", sending them to combat work," said the head of the technical and operational unit of the 1465th regiment with the call sign Opera.

In addition, specialists are working with new devices that have entered the army, configuring them before the flight.

There is also a department for the repair of captured Ukrainian hexacopters "Baba Yaga". Such devices are repaired and put into the service of the Russian Army with the help of spare parts assembled from destroyed enemy equipment.

"Right now, the specialists are working with five hexopters of the Baba Yaga type at once. All of them are assembled from spare parts of enemy "birds" that were hit by enemy air defenses or planted by electronic warfare," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.

Almost every day, a ready-made combat unit arrives from the workshop to the troops, which is immediately sent to the front line.

On June 9, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces of the Kontor group, working as part of the Zapad group, created a smaller version of the R-18 Baba Yaga hexacopter in the Kharkov area of the special operation zone. They have developed a model of such a drone in two versions: the smallest can carry a load of 3 kg, the largest — up to 6 kg. Mounts for an 82-mm mine and grenade launcher rounds were placed on the device, and a separate attachment was also provided for retrieving lost drones.

On April 28, Russia developed a new Bolt interceptor drone. A representative of the development company said that Bolt is part of a system that integrates detection tools, drone ports, launchers and interceptor drones themselves into a single network.
