Dmitry Filatov and Alexey Osokin from the Filatov & Karas music project admitted that they kindly envy graduates who celebrate graduation at the "Scarlet Sails - 2026" in St. Petersburg.‑St. Petersburg.

The musicians noted the scale of the celebration. Looking at him, one of the band members, Alexey Osokin, mentally transported himself to the past and thought how bright his own farewell to school could have been if there had been a holiday of such magnitude in those years.

"When I came in, I presented the first such graduation in my time," Osokin confessed with a touch of sadness.

At the same time, Dmitry Filatov said that his graduation was also bright. It was held in Moscow, in the concert hall of the Rossiya Hotel, where Zaryadye Park is now located. According to Filatov, the bands "Hands Up!", "Ivanushki International", "Dynamite", and "Strelki" performed at his graduation.

The actor also noted that over time, some of the performers who performed at his own graduation became his acquaintances and colleagues on stage. That is why Filatov & Karas' performance at the Scarlet Sails has a special meaning for the band.

"It is possible that we will now perform at the graduation of someone with whom we will share the stage in ten years," he said.

The musicians also addressed yesterday's students with parting words. They urged the children not to wait for ready answers from themselves immediately after school and not to worry if they are still unable to decide on a profession.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived after a long-term hiatus in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.

The graduation celebration ended in St. Petersburg on the night of June 28 with a colorful fireworks display. The concert on the Palace Square was held against the backdrop of the large-scale scenery of the "City of Dreamers". A scenic area was built especially for the event, including a train station, a shipyard, a 30-meter lighthouse structure and over 1,000 square meters of multimedia screens.

During the performance of singer Alex Lim, a high-speed train took the stage. With its visual appearance, the model refers to the "White Gyrfalcon", a promising passenger electric train that will connect Moscow and St. Petersburg in the future after the launch of the high—speed railway.

For the first time, the Scarlet Sails graduation party was held in 1968 in Leningrad. That year, more than 25,000 young people gathered on the Neva embankment to watch the ceremonial passage of the yacht Metalist under scarlet sails. Until 1979, the fairytale show in the Northern Capital was held annually, but then the tradition was interrupted.
