The future of Russia on the "Scarlet Sails" was shown through the image of a social network

At the alumni festival "Scarlet Sails — 2026" in St. Petersburg, a video was shown in which Russia was compared to a huge social network where any student can register. The main idea of the video is that every graduate is already a part of the great history of the country, and its future depends on his dreams, choices and willingness to act.

The video was presented by Vyacheslav Makarov, the host of the event, inviting viewers to imagine that outstanding people of Russia, past and present, could communicate with graduates on equal terms.

"We are children of the same country," Makarov said.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
