Beglov called Russia a country of opportunities at the celebration of "Scarlet Sails"

Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg, called Russia a country of opportunities at the Scarlet Sails Alumni Festival on June 27 and urged graduates to dream and create.

"Russia is a country of opportunities! You dream, create! Very soon, a brik under scarlet sails will pass along the Neva. The name of the brick, the name of this brick is Russia! Share your dream!" Beglov addressed the guests of the celebration.

In response, the crowd loudly chanted: "Russia".

For the first time, the Scarlet Sails graduation party was held in 1968 in Leningrad. That year, more than 25,000 young people gathered on the Neva embankment to watch the ceremonial passage of the yacht Metalist under scarlet sails. Until 1979, the fairytale show in the Northern Capital was held annually, but then the tradition was interrupted.
