Four children died from the heat wave in France. This was reported by The Guardian on June 26.

"On Friday, a hospital in Marseille announced the death of an 18-month-old baby in the emergency department earlier this week after he was found in a car in a state of hyperthermia. A police source told Le Figaro newspaper that, presumably, the father, who works in the area, could have forgotten his son in the car when he was supposed to take him to kindergarten," the publication says.
