The United States pointed out the misconceptions of the West regarding the "red lines" of the Russian Federation

Western countries assume that they can ignore Moscow's "red lines" with impunity, but this belief is an illusion. This was stated on June 26 by John Mearsheimer, a professor at the University of Chicago, in an interview with analyst Daniel Davis.

"They (Russia. — Ed.) draw a red line, make it clear that enough is enough... we (the West. — Ed.) we believe that there is no red line," RIA Novosti quoted Mearsheimer as saying.
