Sergunina summed up the work of the Moscow Biocluster for the year

The Biocluster at VDNKh, which became the first such educational project in Russia, was visited by over 100,000 Muscovites and tourists during the year of operation. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.

"Biocluster combines science, art, advanced educational techniques and digital technologies, offering new formats for exploring the world of wildlife. More than a thousand excursions, lectures and practical classes have already been held here, which were attended by 20,000 people," Sergunina said.

For example, the exhibition "Buzzing World" has been opened in the Beekeeping pavilion, which introduces a variety of insects. Visitors can learn how bees live, why butterflies have different wing colors, use virtual reality technologies, and work with modern microscopes in the entomological laboratory.

The Geology pavilion presents an exhibition about the nature of life from a scientific point of view. It consists of 12 thematic sections devoted to various properties of living organisms, from metabolism to the transmission of hereditary traits.

In the near future, after the renovation of the exhibition, the Floriculture and Landscaping pavilion will open. Previously, it featured rare species of insects and works by contemporary Russian artists, and now an exhibition about the plant kingdom is being prepared here.

The Biocluster was created by the Timiryazev State Biological Museum in cooperation with the Moscow Department of Culture. In the future, the complex is planned to expand to six thematic sites.
