Vladimir Golubev, President of the Russian Cynological Federation, told whether it is worth taking a pet to a wedding and how to prepare it.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, June 26, the specialist said that the decision to take a dog to a wedding depends on its character and level of socialization. According to him, the holiday will be enjoyable for some pets, while it will be very stressful for others. The expert emphasized that a dog is not a decorative element, so its comfort should be a priority.

Golubev noted that a pet can become a full-fledged participant in the ceremony, however, noise, a large number of people, fireworks and a violation of the usual regime can negatively affect its condition. In addition, it is worth considering the possible allergies of the guests.

If you still decide to take the dog to the wedding, the dog handler advised you to introduce it to the playground in advance and rehearse the exit, as well as appoint a person who will look after the animal during the holiday. According to him, it is better to give preference to chamber ceremonies, especially in nature.

The expert also recommended not taking dogs to the wedding that react badly to strangers or do not follow commands. He urged guests to be warned in advance not to feed the pet from the table, to protect it from loud noises and not to forget about timely treatment of parasites and vaccination.
