American billionaire Elon Musk said on June 26 that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded the coup in Ukraine, which caused the current conflict.

In the social network X (ex. Twitter), the entrepreneur commented on a post claiming that USAID sponsored these events.

According to Musk, the agency's supporters are responsible for the deaths of people as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.

Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik noted on June 25 that more than 80% of the financing of Ukraine's military operations against Russia comes from abroad. According to him, these actions have resulted in a so-called puppet that continues and implements the country's military policy with the support of other states.

On June 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the conflict was based on a coup in Ukraine and the suppression of all Russians there.
