The Ministry of Justice has added the Echo project to the register of foreign agents

The Echo project was entered into the register of foreign agents of the Russian Ministry of Justice. The updated list was published on June 26 on the agency's website.

"On June 26, 2026, in accordance with the orders of the Russian Ministry of Justice, the Echo project was included in the register of foreign agents," the text says.

It is noted that this project disseminated false information about decisions taken by public authorities, and also opposed the conduct of a special military operation. He also interacted with other already recognized foreign agents, collaborated with them and disseminated their messages.

The updated list also includes Elena Koneva, who lives outside the Russian Federation and spreads false information about the decisions of the Russian government, the Autonomous Action media group and the Crimean Solidarity social movement.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has already expanded the list of foreign agents on June 19. Then the list included journalist Peter Ruzavin, ex-deputy of the Tomsk City Duma Ksenia Fadeeva (listed in the register of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation), artist Ekaterina Kuznetsova, as well as the Sphere project.
