The Russian car brand UMO has raised the starting price of an electric car with an index of 5. Now it starts from 2.6 million rubles, which is 100 thousand rubles more expensive than before. This follows from the data published on the official website of the brand.

The assembly of UMO 5 electric vehicles at the Moskvich automobile plant in Moscow began in February this year. The project is being led by EVM in collaboration with Yandex. Cars can already be found in taxis and carsharing on the streets of Moscow, while the start of free sales has not yet been announced. Potential customers are still invited to submit a purchase request for the model on the brand's official website.

The UMO 5 model is a "clone" of the Chinese GAC Aion Y Plus. It is equipped with a 204 hp engine, which allows you to accelerate from zero to "hundreds" in 8.5 seconds. A lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery with a capacity of 63.2 kWh allows you to travel from 220 to 420 km on a single charge, depending on the operating temperature conditions.

According to Autostat, 233 new UMO brand electric vehicles were sold in Russia in May 2026.

The day before, it became known that the UMO 8 crossover, the second model of the new domestic brand, will cost from 5 million rubles in Russia. The crossover with the index 8 was announced in early June, and it will also be on the assembly line of the capital's enterprise.
