Experts have compiled a shortlist of candidates for the title of the best cars in the Russian Federation

The Organizing Committee of the National Automotive Business Experts Award "Top-5 Auto" presented a shortlist of award nominees in five automotive categories. The organizers of the contest informed Izvestia about this on March 27.

The award's jury, consisting of Russian automotive journalists, evaluated all new models on the market during 2025 (more than 60 vehicles in total) according to five main criteria: price-quality ratio, design, technical innovations, comfort and practicality. Based on these ratings, the finalists with the highest average score were identified in each nomination.

The Belgee X70, Jaecoo J7, Lada Iskra, Omoda C7 and Tenet T7 are represented in the Compact Car/Crossover category. The Changan CS75 Plus, GAC GS4, Jetour T1, Tank 300 and Moskvich M70 are in the "Midsize Car/Crossover" category.

Among the "Big Cars/crossovers", the Bestune B70, GAC GS8, JAC RF8, Tank 400 and Moskvich M90 will compete for the victory. Avatr 12, Exeed Exlantix ES, GAC GS8 HEV, Geely EX5 EM-i or Rox 01 can be recognized as the best electric/hybrid car. Commercial vehicles include the Changan Star Truck, Foton Tunland V9, Oting Palasso, Sollers ST9 or Huanghai N7. In addition, awards will be given in the nominations dedicated to the PR and marketing departments of automakers, and the auto person of the year will also be selected.

Last year, according to the voting results, the Jetour T2 crossover was recognized as the "Car of the Year". Jetour Dashing became the best in the Compact Car/Crossover category. The Jaecoo J8 won in the Mid-size Car/Crossover category.
