Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week
A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "The units of the Southern Group of Forces have advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated the manpower and equipment of four mechanized, airmobile, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and a defense brigade. During the week in the village of Konstantinovka, Donetsk People's Republic, the assault groups of the "Southern" group of troops continued to conduct military operations to destroy the encircled enemy in the southwestern part of the settlement. From June 20 to 26, 763 buildings were liberated from Ukrainian militants. More than 560 Ukrainian servicemen and over 130 units of various weapons and military equipment were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
During the week, units of the North group of forces established control over the Ivolzhanskoye settlement of the Sumy region as a result of active actions. In total, the enemy lost over 1,575 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, 88 vehicles and 12 field artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces.
The units of the Zapad group of forces have improved their tactical situation. During the week, assault detachments of the 25th Army continued to destroy scattered units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic. Units of the 67th Division captured 50 strongholds and liberated 327 buildings. In total, the enemy's losses in the group's area of responsibility amounted to more than 1,510 military personnel, 23 armored combat vehicles, 101 vehicles and 16 field artillery guns.
The fighters of the Center group of forces improved their tactical situation. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to more than 2,195 military personnel, 20 armored combat vehicles, 31 vehicles and 18 field artillery guns.
During the week, the units of the Vostok group of forces continued their active offensive operations. The losses of the Ukrainian armed formations in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to over 3,155 military personnel, 16 armored combat vehicles, 55 vehicles and six field artillery guns.
Air defense systems shot down 89 guided aerial bombs, five UK-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles, six US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 4,562 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 169,649 unmanned aerial vehicles, 663 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,918 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,749 multiple rocket launchers, 35,514 field artillery guns and mortars, 64,936 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
