Golikova listed the most sought-after jobs on the Russian labor market

Currently, engineers, employees of industrial enterprises, machine operators and farmers are the most in-demand vacancies in the domestic labor market. This was stated on June 25 by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, taking part in the plenary session "Labor Market: Challenges, Trends, solutions" within the framework of the All-Russian Employment Fair at the international multimedia press center "Russia Today".

"Almost every fifth vacancy, even more, is processing, here we traditionally have skilled workers, engineering staff, machine operators," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

The Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation clarified that the second most in-demand place is occupied by professions related to the agro-industry, construction, as well as housing and communal services, logistics and transport services. The top three are rounded out by various social jobs, in particular educational and medical ones.

According to her, the lowest rates compared to the listed ones were shown by vacancies from the trade, services and hospitality industries. Golikova, summarizing her statistics, stressed that the situation on the labor market in Russia is developing accordingly as of mid-June 2026.

On June 5, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, assessed the labor market situation in the Izvestia studio at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026), calling it positive. He said that now the country needs a more active staff flow between industries and companies for a new wave of economic growth.

On the same day, Golikova, taking part in the SPIEF session "Labor Market 2.0: the dictatorship of AI, the transformation of skills and professions," called the main task of the employer to teach employees how to use artificial intelligence technologies. According to her, their implementation will increase labor productivity in the range from 21 to 33%.
