Kaczynski called for blocking negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU
The head of the Polish conservative Law and Justice faction, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, called for the suspension of the dialogue on Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU) due to the crisis in relations between Warsaw and Kiev. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper on June 26.
"The leader of the Polish right-wing opposition has escalated the conflict with Ukraine by calling on Warsaw to block Kiev's EU accession talks, turning a historic dispute with one of his country's closest allies during the armed conflict into a new front in his fight against Prime Minister Donald Tusk," the article says.
