The Soviet actor and film director Bako Sadikov passed away.

Soviet actor and film director Bako Sadikov died in Germany at the age of 85. This was reported on June 25 by the Tajik news agency Asia-Plus.

"The famous Tajik film director Bako Sadikov has died in Germany," the publication says.

According to director Ali Choriev, Sadykov died on the night of June 25th. The cause of death is not specified. According to journalist Suhrob Ziye, the director's funeral will be held in Germany, where he moved from Uzbekistan last year.

Bako Sadikov was born on July 13, 1941 in Bukhara. Over the years, he worked at the Tajikfilm film Studio, where he made feature films and documentaries, and was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Tajikistan and the Abuabdullo Rudaki State Prize of the Republic.

The director became widely known for the short film "Adonis XIV", which was shot in 1977, but was released only in 1986. The film won awards at international film festivals in Moscow and Mannheim, Germany.
