Sappers of the Zapad group of forces are working to mine supply routes in the Krasnolimansk direction. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 26.
"Military personnel of the engineering and sapper company of the 37th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces conduct daily engineering reconnaissance and explosive ordnance disposal on key supply routes and rotation of personnel performing tasks in the Krasnolimansk direction," RIA Novosti reports the agency's message.
According to the ministry, in the process, the military discovers unexploded FPV drones, improvised explosive devices and various mines. With their help, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to slow down the advance of the group's attack aircraft in Krasny Liman.
The Defense Ministry clarified that military engineers are conducting mine clearance promptly, although the air situation remains difficult. The department also added that if it is not possible to defuse an explosive object, it is destroyed on the spot using an overhead charge.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on June 26 that the military personnel of the Southern Group of Forces continue to successfully carry out tasks in the Konstantinovsky area of the special operation, hitting and destroying facilities and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). For example, artillery crews of the 10th Guards Tank Regiment of the group carried out a series of precise strikes on AFU targets in the area of Konstantinovka. As a result, two temporary shelters of Ukrainian militants equipped in the basements of private sector houses were hit. The enemy fortifications were destroyed along with the personnel stationed there.
