Russian Kleimenova wins the World Chess Championship among girls

On June 25, Russian chess player Valeria Kleimenova prematurely won the World Championship among boys and girls, which is being held in the city of Montesilvano.

In the penultimate, 10th round, Kleimenova, playing with white pieces, beat compatriot Leila Tabermakova. The game ended on the 59th move.

Following the meeting, Kleimenova scored 9.5 points. One round before the end of the competition, the Russian athlete became unattainable for her closest pursuer, Pratitea Bordoloi from India, who scored eight points.

The tournament in Italy covers the age categories up to 14, 16 and 18 years old. The World Championship will officially end on June 26.
