The FSB showed footage of the detention of the leader of a community recruiting children for terrorist attacks

Members of an online teen recruitment community created by a minor resident of Dagestan have staged terrorist attacks in the United States, Germany, and Italy. Footage of the detention and interrogation of the group's organizer was published on June 26 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

According to him, in January 2026, one of the members of the organization set five arson attacks in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Later, the terrorists were able to arrange the evacuation of at least 14 Texas schools, reporting on the deception. In February, the organization's associates staged two arson attacks and another evacuation of educational institutions in California. In March, terrorists carried out arson attacks in Germany and Italy.

The teenager from Dagestan added that his organization was engaged in propaganda of the Columbine movement (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation, its activities are prohibited), whose members organize attacks on schools around the world.

"My role was specifically in administration. I managed the organization <...> as its leader, he communicated with the participants," the detainee explained.

At the same time, he admitted that priority was given to Russia and the CIS countries during the organization of crimes. According to the defendant, the Columbine terrorist attacks were scheduled to take place in Domodedovo, Krasnoyarsk, Orekhovo-Zuyevo, St. Petersburg, Lipetsk, Orenburg and many other cities.

All the actions of the organization were coordinated by the Security Service of Ukraine, which financed the terrorist community, the detainee said.

Earlier that day, the FSB Central Control Center reported that a minor local resident had been detained in Dagestan, who had created an international online community to involve teenagers in terrorism. According to investigators, the suspect's activities were coordinated by the special services of Ukraine. The detainee participated in the organization of at least 15 terrorist crimes in 10 regions of Russia.

The FSB stated that the defendant had trained the recruited participants in the tactics of committing terrorist attacks and mass killings, passed on instructions on making improvised explosive devices, means of conspiracy, and allegedly provided means of terror. According to the agency, at least three citizens of Ukraine participated in this activity.
