Crane operator will be convicted for the death of a worker when a log fell in the Tyumen region

A criminal investigation into the death of a worker in a log fall has been completed in the Tyumen Region. Charges were brought against the crane driver, who could have violated safety regulations during work.

The incident occurred on April 9 in the working village of Golyshmanovo. According to the <url> news agency, during the loading and unloading operations, a log fell on a 56-year-old slinger. The man died at the scene.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules during other work that negligently caused the death of a person").

In the Tula region, on May 6, a worker died while cleaning a sewer. The man was poisoned by the released gas, while he did not have any personal protective equipment.
