Zakharova condemned the UN decision to keep Russia on the list of violators of children's rights

On June 25, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the decision of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to leave Russia on the list of alleged violators of children's rights in Ukraine.

"We consider this step as politically motivated and without an evidence base. And we regret that the UN secretariat continues to rely on unverified information obtained from biased sources, while ignoring Russian assessments and repeatedly provided materials," Zakharova said.

She also expressed bewilderment at the absence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this list. According to her, the facts of crimes against children by the Kiev regime, including the shelling of civilian infrastructure, educational institutions and residential areas, are still not properly assessed in the report.

A children's soccer team from Gomel was on vacation in Krasnodar Krai.

Maria Zabolotskaya, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, said yesterday that 291 civilians, including 20 children, were injured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the period from June 15 to 21. She cited as an example the attack on residential buildings in Tula on June 15, which injured a one-year-old child, as well as the attack on June 17 in the Bryansk region, where a drone struck a bus carrying members of a football team from Belarus.
