Medialogia has published a rating of the most popular TV series for May 2026

The TV series "Boys", "Euphoria" and "Sled" were among the top most watched in Russia in May 2026. This became known on June 25 from the rating prepared by Medialogia.

"The first place in May was taken by the TV series "Boys" (2,984 points). The top 5 also includes "Euphoria" (1,983), "Trace" (1,617), "Magic Battle" (1,378) and "Very Strange Things" (1,159)," the message says.

It is noted that despite the leadership of foreign TV series, the majority of projects in the rating out of 30 positions are domestic — 19 TV series. So, "Daddy's Daughters", "Univer", "The First rocket" and "Molodezhka" got into the top 10. At the same time, the main Russian TV series in May became "Sled", achieving the best result since the beginning of 2026.

The study explained that May became the month of major foreign hits due to the release of new seasons, thanks to which "Boys" and "Euphoria" took the first two lines of the rating. At the same time, the "nostalgic wave" for Russian TV series has weakened compared to the previous month due to the lack of new episodes.

In addition, premiere activity increased to nine titles in May. The company clarified that among the premieres included "The First Racket" (883 points), "Off Campus" (820 points), "Verdict" (667 points), "Dogs and Wolves" (637 points), "The Cabman" (591 points), "Kuzya: The Path to success" (567 points), "Radar" (560 points), "Prints" (544 points) and "Shores of Love" (524 points).

"According to the type of content in the May top 30, there are 29 game series and 1 anime. The franchises that started before 2025 accounted for 19 projects. 11 more are the sequels of the series that began in 2025-2026. The premieres of 2026 are 9 projects," the company noted.

When calculating the rating, search engine queries and the number of views on TV and online were taken into account. In addition, the researchers took into account the social response of the series, paying attention to mentions, engagement, views, and other factors. A total of 1379 projects were included in the sample.

The company emphasized that the main trend in April was nostalgic restarts and the return of archived franchises, which showed the greatest growth relative to March. There has also been a return of major foreign projects.
