Oil prices returned to pre-conflict levels amid the opening of Hormuz
Oil prices fell to their lowest levels since February 27 amid rising supplies from the Middle East after the resumption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on June 25.
"Oil prices on Thursday fell to levels last seen before the start of the war with Iran," the article says.
It is noted that Brent crude futures for August delivery fell by $1.08 (1.46%) to $72.66 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude lost 84 cents (1.19%) to $69.50 per barrel.
The day before, the price of WTI crude oil during trading on the NYMEX exchange (CME Group) fell below $ 71 per barrel for the first time since early March. At that time, WTI crude oil futures were trading around $70 per barrel, remaining under pressure amid expectations of increased supply on the global market and continued volatility in commodity assets.
