Applications for the Leaders of Digital Transformation hackathon have been announced

Applications for participation in the Leaders of Digital Transformation hackathon have begun in Moscow, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in the Maks messenger.

This is the largest international hackathon taking place in Russia, the head of Moscow emphasized. The contestants develop new products and services at the request of the city's executive authorities, domestic IT companies and corporations.

This year, participants will be offered to solve 20 tasks in the field of artificial intelligence, automation of urban processes, unmanned technologies and digital modeling. The contestants will also focus on big data analysis and intelligent decision support systems.

Sobyanin noted that experts from anywhere in the world can participate this year. Applications are accepted until September 14 on the hackathon website. Those who are over 16 years old are allowed to participate. The winners of the hackathon will receive 1 million rubles each and will be able to implement their developments. The second and third place teams received 600 and 400 thousand rubles each, respectively.

Last year, more than 11,000 people took part in the hackathon. Applications were received from 89 regions of Russia and 26 foreign countries, including China, India, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. A total of 1379 teams participated in the hackathon.
