The first flight of the experimental Yak-130M aircraft at speeds up to 600 km/h took place.

The first flight of the Yak-130M prototype aircraft took place at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. This was announced by Rostec on June 25.

The car spent about 50 minutes in the air at altitudes up to 2 thousand meters. m and speeds up to 600 km/h. The flight mission has been completed completely, there are no technical comments. As noted in PJSC UAC of Rostec State Corporation, the aircraft was piloted by a crew consisting of 1st class test pilot Alexander Guskov and Honored Test pilot Andrei Voropaev.

The modernization of the Yak-130 to the "M" version is aimed at expanding the combat capabilities of the vehicle. The aircraft received the on-board radar station RADAR-130R, optical-laser thermal imaging system SALT-130K, on-board defense complex "President-S130" and a new communications complex. The integration of these systems will allow the Yak-130M to be used both for training and combat purposes around the clock and in all weather conditions.

The new version of the aircraft has the ability to carry air-to-air missiles and high-precision air-to-surface aerial weapons with satellite and laser guidance systems. The state corporation stressed that the Yak-130M "will not only retain all the capabilities for training combat pilots, but will also acquire the qualities of a combat aircraft."

The Yak-130M is being created on the basis of the serial Yak-130 as part of the development work of the UAC. The first prototype was built at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.

Vasily Prutkovsky, Managing Director of Yakovlev PJSC (part of Rostec, UAC), announced on April 6 that by the end of this year, three flight copies of the Yak-130M combat training aircraft will be ready for the first flights. According to him, flight tests will be conducted on the aircraft after the production stage.

Last November, the upgraded Yak-130M combat training aircraft was first presented to the public at the International Aviation and Space Exhibition in Dubai.
