An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred off the coast of Japan

An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 was recorded near the coast of Honshu Island in Japan. This was announced on May 25 by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The center of the cataclysm was located in the Pacific Ocean and lay at a depth of 53 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 59 km southeast of the city of Hachinohe, and 36 km northeast of the city of Noda.
