In two regions of the Russian Federation, the average amount of pension payments for non-working citizens in May 2026 exceeded the mark of 40 thousand rubles. This became known on June 25 from the data of the Social Fund of Russia.

The specified average pension for non-working pensioners was passed in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where it amounted to 40,082 rubles, and in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where the level of 44,069 rubles was recorded, RIA Novosti reports.

In general, in Russia, the average amount of pension provision for non-working citizens in May of this year was set at 25,839 rubles.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said on June 24 that in July 2026, an increase in pensions is expected for citizens who have turned 80 or who have received disability group I. For these categories, the fixed payment to the insurance pension will be doubled, and a care allowance will also be automatically assigned.
