Putin signed the law on compliance with the anti-doping rules of the WADA Code

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law aimed at bringing Russian anti-doping legislation in line with international standards. The relevant document was published on June 24 on the website of the State Duma bill database.

The document establishes the status of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) as a subject of physical culture and sports. In addition, RUSADA must become a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code and publish on its official website the anti-doping rules, as well as documents approved by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and international anti-doping organizations.
