Channel Five will show "Scarlet Sails" in a new animation dimension

Channel Five presents an animated premiere of the same name for the Scarlet Sails Alumni holiday, in which the classics take on a new lease of life. The story of Assol and Gray comes to life in a cartoon format. The project was created using artificial intelligence (AI) tools based on the legendary story-extravaganza by Alexander Green.

This animated series is a new artistic dimension of a familiar plot. Computer graphics artists have created a unique visual language using artificial intelligence tools. Each frame is filled with the magic of Green's fairy tale story. At the same time, the film reflects the mood of modern youth and responds to questions that concern many of yesterday's schoolchildren.

The characters' images, light, textures and plastics allow you to feel the depth of the story about dreams, faith and inner strength in a new way. At the same time, the plot remains close and understandable to the viewer of any generation.

The animated series consists of six short episodes lasting up to two minutes. The first episode immerses the viewer in the atmosphere of a harsh world, where little Assol faces her first loss and learns to keep her inner light despite the circumstances. The visual language of the project highlights the contrast between cold reality and warm hope, which becomes the mainstay of the heroine.

Each episode is a part of the narrative and an emotional message to the graduates. The animation project is released on the official accounts of Channel Five on social networks for two episodes daily. The cartoon will become another important element of the holiday — a story about how a miracle is possible for everyone who sincerely believes in it.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.

Videos about the "Scarlet Sails" holiday will be shown from June 23 to 28 on the media facade of the Ostankino TV Tower. "Scarlet Sails" will go beyond the center of St. Petersburg, the traditional stage on the Palace Square and the Neva River, the television broadcast and the digital environment and will become part of the architectural and visual code of another metropolis — the capital of Russia.
