- The Council for the Promotion of Russian Style presented the projects of the visual environment
On Wednesday, June 24, a meeting of the board of the Council for the development and promotion of a new Russian style in public space was held at the National Center (NC) "Russia". The event was chaired by Elena Yampolskaya, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
The central theme of the meeting was the formation of visual culture through educational projects and new approaches to the design of the environment. According to Yampolskaya, the work on creating a national style is moving to the stage of the first practical results.
"At the meeting of the Council for the Implementation of state Policy in the field of support for the Russian language and the languages of the Peoples of Russia, we managed to tell the President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] about the work of the Council and the projects that are being implemented jointly with the National Center "Russia". Today, many of these initiatives are entering the stage of practical implementation — these are Cyrillic-based projects, work on unified textbooks, and initiatives for children. It is important that these solutions do not remain ideas, but become part of the daily environment and are understandable to everyone," Yampolskaya is quoted as saying on the website of the NC Rossiya.
Natalia Virtuozova, General Director of the Rossiya National Center, in turn, announced the approval of the concepts of the center's branches in eight more regions of the country. New spaces will appear in Kaliningrad, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl regions, Khabarovsk Territory, as well as in the republics of Sakha (Yakutia), Karelia and Kabardino-Balkaria.
"We expect these spaces to become centers of attraction for joint projects and initiatives related to the promotion of the Russian language, culture and our traditional values," she said.
During the meeting, Alisa Lobanova, founder of the Neva brand, presented the concept of a single uniform for participants of international educational and scientific Olympiads. She stressed that Russia's intellectual leadership needs to be consolidated visually.
Vladislav Preobrazhensky, Executive Director of the Moscow Investors Club Foundation, spoke about the completion of work on a new generation playground designed in the style of a Dymkovsky toy. The facility will open in autumn 2026 in one of Yekaterinburg's residential complexes.
"Acquaintance with cultural heritage and national values begins from childhood. Therefore, the first project to promote national identity was a new generation playground. The space, decorated in the style of a Dymkovsky toy, is almost completed and will open this fall in one of Yekaterinburg's residential complexes," he added.
After the presentation, the meeting participants discussed further steps to implement the palette in the open microphone format. The experts touched upon the issues of the Council's interaction with educational organizations and regional authorities for the implementation of the presented initiatives on the ground.
"By the next meeting, we expect to see new results in several areas at once, including the development of uniforms for participants in international Olympiads and projects for public spaces. It is important for us to keep an open professional discussion and together look for solutions that will work in a real environment and will be in demand by people," Yampolskaya said.
The Council at the National Center "Russia" unites representatives of the state, business and the expert community. The body's activities are aimed at creating a modern visual environment based on cultural heritage and current demands of society.
On May 29, experts from Sberbank concluded that Russians of different generations perceive the national cultural code differently: young people more often associate it with diligence, adaptability and a desire for development, while the older generation focuses on teamwork, mutual assistance and family values. According to the survey, respondents consider "resilience and strength," "creativity and ingenuity," as well as the ability to live in the rhythm of the changing seasons to be the most typical traits of Russian people — 92% of the survey participants noted these qualities.
