Medvedev joked about rainy weather at SPIEF 2026
On June 24, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, ironically commented on the rainy weather in St. Petersburg during the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPIEF-2026).
"I also cordially welcome everyone to our 14th St. Petersburg Legal Forum. The weather is not very good today, but tomorrow they promise to improve, so I hope the rain is just warming up, and then the sun will come," Medvedev said at the plenary session.
The moderator of the session noted that, despite the weather conditions, the forum hall was full.
"Well, that's why it's full — if it were sunny, there probably wouldn't be half of it here," Medvedev replied with a smile.
